ACRI-IN IT
ACRI's infrastructure provides the entire ACRI-IN team with the latest
technology and more than enough computing power to perform its project
studies, implement its complex digital models, and work with an unequaled
flexibility (remote offices, secured data transfer, storage and
collaboration, etc.).
Our IT infrastructure guarantees that our customers' project data is secure
and confidential.

Internet communications are based on a 100
Mbit/s SDSL line. The firewall consists of a
cluster of Checkpoint appliances. Servers
requiring an external connection are deployed in
a DMZ. Internal security is ensured by Sophos
Internet Security software. Each ACRI user has a
unique user name/password used for all
authentication. A person connected physically to
the network without a user name/password cannot
access ACRI's network data.
-
ACRI engineers work on quad-core PC with 8 Gb of
RAM (Windows 7) connected to Linux servers via a
Gigabit Ethernet connection. VMWARE Player
allows each engineer to test local virtual
versions of any system required by projects in
progress (for example: Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS,
etc.). Several services let engineers work
remotely while easily accessing their normal
environment: VPN, Terminal Services (TSE), RDP
connection to their office computer. Information
exchange between the various ACRI Group projects
is simplified by using a common set of Microsoft
software (Exchange/Outlook (email and
calendar)/SharePoint (collaboration
tools)/Office (documentation and presentations,
etc.).

50 To d'espace disque partagé sécurisé sont
disponibles sur notre infrastructure
d’entreprise pour les projets. Cet espace est
sauvegardé grâce à une bibliothèque de 120 To
Quantum LTO5 (3 lecteurs).
Plus de 300 To d’espace disque sont également
disponible pour stocker les données
satellitaires (MERIS, MODIS, SeaWIFS, NOAA,
etc.) ainsi que les fichiers auxiliaires.

ACRI production is based on a cluster using
powerful equipment and a proprietary cluster
management system called Pegasus. Primary
characteristics: heterogeneous cluster (SunOS,
Linux, Unix, Windows/Cygwin, SGI, etc.), all
data, actions and node information are stored in
a SGBD, requests and processing waiting lines
are stored and managed by this system, balancing
hosting and output disks are performed
automatically, traditional anomalies are
automatically detected, corrective measures are
applied and jobs are resubmitted to the cluster.
Currently, 25 nodes are operating in the
calculation cluster. Storage capacity has
reached 400 Tb of data online.
